China Minmetals, China’s biggest base metals company, teamed up with China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Ltd. and a couple of suppliers and started a series of projects ranging from RV manufacturing facilities to campgrounds to RV resorts.
Dornier RV Group, as reported by online media, will have its first travel trailer coming off line in May. Its main factory in Guangdong province, according to the company, will be able to produce 80,000 units of motorized and towables when full capacity is in place. The group is also working with the local governments in Hainan province to build “RV towns” – resorts and campgrounds to attract the tourist and vacationer crowds. China recently announced that it’ll turn Hainan, an island in the South China Sea, into a vacationers’ haven. Dornier RV’s move is certainly on time to catch the rising demand of tourists and vacationers on the island. |
